Murphy Halliburton serves as Global Consultant for Zen Mind, bringing internationally recognised expertise in medical anthropology, global health systems, and cross-cultural mental health research. He is a Professor specialising in the anthropology of science and South Asian cultures, with extensive ethnographic work exploring diverse mental health practices across India.

His research examines Ayurvedic psychiatry, biomedical psychiatry, and community-based healing traditions in South India, offering valuable insight into how cultural contexts shape mental health care and recovery. He has also contributed to global health policy discussions, particularly on access to essential medicines and international intellectual property frameworks. Through interdisciplinary scholarship and field research, Murphy strengthens Zen Mind’s commitment to globally informed, culturally sensitive, and socially aware approaches to mental health and wellbeing.

Dr Amy Collins serves as Global Consultant for Zen Mind, bringing over four decades of distinguished experience in clinical psychology, addiction treatment, and adult mental health care. A member of the American Psychological Association, she is widely recognised for her extensive clinical and academic contributions to psychological practice.

Based in New York City, Dr Collins has worked extensively with individuals facing addiction, emotional distress, and complex adult mental health concerns, integrating evidence-based therapeutic approaches to support recovery and long-term stability. Her professional journey reflects a deep commitment to ethical clinical practice, research-informed intervention, and compassionate psychological care. Through her global perspective and decades of experience, she contributes valuable insight to Zen Mind’s mission of strengthening structured and responsible mental health support.

Dr. Sunita Churiwala Nandhuri

Global Consultant

Sunita Churiwala Nandhuri serves as Global Consultant for Zen Mind, bringing extensive expertise in Marriage and Family Therapy and evidence-based psychotherapy. Her clinical work supports adults, adolescents, and couples navigating complex emotional and relational challenges.

Her areas of focus include depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, autism spectrum conditions, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. Through strengths-based and solution-focused approaches, she helps individuals develop resilience, strengthen coping strategies, and improve emotional and relational wellbeing.

Sunita is recognised for creating a confidential, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic environment where clients feel understood and empowered. Her work emphasises practical, results-driven interventions that promote personal growth, emotional stability, and sustainable psychological wellbeing through meaningful behavioural change.

Dr. Renuka Jana

Global Consultant

Dr Renuka Jana serves as Global Consultant for Zen Mind, bringing extensive expertise in clinical psychology, mental health programme leadership, and international mental healthcare systems. She currently coordinates the Mental Health Programme within the National Health Services (NHS), London, United Kingdom, where she contributes to clinical care, programme development, and academic initiatives.

She completed her MPhil in Clinical Psychology from NIMHANS and earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP), India, two of the most respected institutions in the field. Her work spans clinical practice, research, and mental health policy development. An invited speaker at numerous national and international conferences, Dr Jana contributes valuable global insight, strengthening Zen Mind’s commitment to evidence-based, internationally informed mental healthcare.

Dr. Wael Mustafa Abu Al-Hassan

Global Consultant

Dr Wael Mustafa Abu Al-Hassan serves as Global Consultant for Zen Mind, bringing distinguished expertise in clinical health psychology, behavioural health research, and psychosocial wellbeing. He is an academic, researcher, and Instructor of Psychology at the Allied Medical College of the Arab American University of Palestine.

He holds a PhD in Clinical Health Psychology from Aligarh Muslim University, India, and completed postdoctoral training at California State University, Northridge, USA, focusing on the psychosocial dimensions of mental health and family relationships. His research explores health behaviour, stress-related disorders, coping mechanisms, aggression, quality of life, and the role of spirituality in health and illness. Through academic scholarship and international research collaborations, Dr Wael contributes to globally informed, culturally sensitive mental health perspectives, strengthening Zen Mind’s commitment to interdisciplinary understanding of wellbeing.
